Here at SP2, we love to see and hear how we are making a difference in our client's lives. Coach Paul Carter from The Alpha Project, a strength and conditioning facility based in Salinas, CA that works with Major League Baseball players wanted to share his thoughts about SP2.

The Alpha Project focuses on sports performance, corporate wellness, alpha nutrition, and alpha leadership by using a science-based approach so that their clients can meet their individualized goals. 

The Alpha Project has been adding SP2 Fresh Spirulina cubes to their training/nutrition programs over the past month and has noticed great benefits.

The difference in the energy and focus level has been substantial and they've noted a significant decrease in recovery time after long training days. To top it off, it’s the most nutrient-dense superfood out there! 

Time to fatigue is significantly increased after taking Spirulina which is a great way to improve your training and nutrition programs. After taking Spirulina you are also able to increase your fax oxidation rate (the rate at which you burn fat) and decrease your carbohydrate oxidation rate (the rate at which you burn calories).

"The results showed that spirulina supplementation for 4 wk induced a significant increase in exercise performance, fat oxidation, and glutathione concentration as well as attenuated exercise-induced increases in lipid peroxidation. This provides evidence that increased levels of fat oxidation and GSH may contribute to enhanced exercise performance."
